I was reading this thread here and was thinking of giving it a try. Right now I have no data plan for my cell phone but I remember reading a while back, that Verizon would add the functionality for no extra charge, anybody know if there's any truth to that? It was something like all the new phone plans were coming with it included, so for existing accounts if you called they would add the service for no extra charge.
I'm not planning on using the connection to replace my broadband connection, but it would be nice to have an internet connection when I travel places as not all hotels offer free broadband. And if it's free to add to my account, why not make use of it?
There used to be a great website for information on this stuff called cdmangels.com but it looks like it has since shut down. Was wondering if any of you know some good sites with this kind of information for Verizon phones? Thanks for the help.
