cell phone as desktop remote control

I got a new cell phone (sony ericsson w600i) and it has this remote control feature where it's supposed to be able to act as a remote for several things, a desktop included, but when I try to use it it says no bluetooth devices found, any idea how to enable this, or make it work?

Does your pc support Bluetooth? Do you need a "dongle" to connect to the pc?
