Cell phone antenna accessory. Is this for real or junk?

I got a new cell phone a couple weeks ago, an LG VX4500. Bought some accessories, notably a data cable that lets me use Bitpim (freeware, and cool, if you can work around the crashes - I have!) to modify most of the phone's data in my computer. This came with a car charger (that I haven't tried yet), and they threw in this: Link - it's a little decal kind of thing that you press into the phone's body (after removing the battery), and it's supposed to dramatically improve reception. Should I use this thing or is it just junk? Anybody have experience with this thing? Thanks!

I'm not sure about the antenna you're asking about, but thanks for the tip about Bitpim. I have a LG VX6000 and I didn't know there was a program to maintain the contacts, calendar, etc.

It is crap, and worth what you paid for it - I can't believe anyone actually paid $19.95 (or even $9.95) for those..
.bh.

I figured. If it was that easy to improve the performance of cell phones, the manufacturers would have incorporated it, is my thinking. I figured there was a good chance I was accomplishing nothing more than obscuring information inside the phone (under the battery) if I put it in there (including serial number, etc. etc.). That's why I asked.

Yes, Bitpim supports your phone. You'll need a different data cable than the one I got, though. You can undoubtely get a great price on a cable at ebay. That's where I got mine, with the car charger included for about $13 shipped.
