Cell phone advice needed

I will be signing up for cellphone service very soon. The courts here prohibit camera phones, so I am looking for reccommendations for a good, small non-camera phone on either Cingular or Verizon service (probably will go Cingular).

As a general rule, I recommend Nokia's.

Have had many phones over the past few years and they always seem to make and keep calls better. Moto's can drop a call with full battery and signal strength, but I can talk on a Nokia with one bar for each.

I'm sure the cheapest Nokia from each service will not have a camera.

Check out phonescoop.com before buying. Nokia has made a few duds over the years.

True. But I was talking to someone else today who said one of his major customers also bars them. Must be a backlash from the Gitmo thing.

Shortylickens, thanks for all the good tips.

I just consolidated 3 contracts onto a 5 phone cingular family plan. My sister already has the v180, and we're getting two Nokia 6010's and another v180....

I'll let you know how I like them when they come in tomorrow
