I swear, the advent of cellular technology was great and all. We live much more convenient lives these days due to cell phones and the like. However, I feel with the fairly recent introduction of unlimited cellular phone services such as Cricket that people are abusing their privileges. I don't like these assclowns with unlimited text messaging and minutes who don't even stop to think that my plan has a limit of sorts. Texting or calling me about every mundane detail of their pathetic lives. I vote for a motion to ban unlimited cellular useage plans. Anyone with me?

Receiving text msgs shouldn't cost you anything, right?

If you are concern about your minutes, then don't answer your phone...

I had cingular block all text messages and picture sending on all the phones on my plan. It cost me nothing to do and saved a ton of money as well.

I never use my cell in the car or in a small public place (i.e, the bank, store, resteraunt etc.). I will take the call outside. I will NEVER take a call when I'm with someone talking to them, nor start a conversation or interact with another person while already on the phone (i.e. dealing with a cashier while on the phone) it's just rude otherwise.

that's the key.

Ding ding ding.

Absolutely correct but you two seem to be assuming I'm a fvcking moron or something.

My problem isn't my friends. I enjoy when my friends call me. My problem is the people who want to be my friend, think they're my friend, etc.

I'm by no means conceited. If you're generally cool I don't mind talking to you or hanging out with you or whatever. But my charming personality (If I may) attracts dopeheaded women whom never have been truely accepted by a man before and therefore seek refuge with me. Now I want no part of these fools, but for some reason they won't stop. Apparently not answering my phone seven times to the same number in a day isn't enough of a hint.

You know? I don't even know how half these people have my number, I met them a couple of times and all of sudden I'm supposed to talk on the phone with you? Why do you even have my number? Fvckin A.

It's not my fault these people are emotionally damaged pieces of sh!t. Trust me, I'm not just going on assumption, I gave in the one day and ended up "hanging out" with the one girl and a group of people I know fairly well, she thought it was a date. Tried to get all over me, and stuff. Disgusting, absolutely sick. Apparently shoving her off of me isn't a good enough hint. I'm about to throw bricks at these people.

Oh yes, I don't. Seven phone calls in a day, from the same number. None answered. Asshat calls me the next day. They don't quit.

I have, honest. Thickheaded a-holes. I honestly wish I could throw a brick at them. I'd take so much comfort in the sickeningly dull thud as it bounced off their skull, it's that annoying.

Good truthful article.

As you can see, I'm slowly losing sanity.

It costs the same to send AND receive texts now, unless you are on an older contract where incoming is free, but thats not the norm anymore.

Is there a call blocking option? I think you can also set your phone to not receive text messages, depending on the phone company.

Only some Nextel/Sprint plans have unlimited incoming minutes. What planet are you living on?

The texting stopped I told them I'd drain the texting costs from their own bank account if they didn't stop.

They're subbing texting with phone calls now. Can't wait until later when I tell them if they don't stop my head is going to explode. Honestly, I don't mind talking on IM or something but don't call my motherfvcking phone.

LOL, I've never heard of a cellphone plan with the concept of 'incoming minutes' and I've had cellphones in 4 different countries. Sounds like you guys are getting ripped off in the states.

Basically you get charged anytime you're using the phone, regardless of whether you initiated a call or received one. Of course most people have unlimited night/weekend calls and free calls to others on the same carrier.
