Celine Dion and Elvis

How did they put Celine and Elvis up on the same stage together?

Was she up there by herself and they just post production added Elvis in so it looked like he was actually there with her?

Yea, I didnt know if she was alone on stage and they added him in on the Monitors and for TV viewing or if they had a impersonator onstage and they mapped Elvis's face on for TV viewing

I know it was CGI of course but I didnt know if she was alone on stage or they had an impersonator up there with her and just mapped Elvis's face and whatnot on for tv viewing in post preductio

combot of CGI and a live singer. notice they did not do any closeups of the guy singing on stage? then when they did have closeups you could tell that the image of elvis was recorded in 1968 just by the lighitng difference and there was that fuzzy outline like you get when there is a greenscreen involved.

Yeah, they "aged" the footage of Celine as well so that she matched up better with the footage of Elvis. Also, I definitely noticed that "Elvis" was casting a shadow on the stage next to Celine so there was definitely an actual guy up there with just the image of Elvis projected on to him somehow. It was really neat and well done.

Neither Celine nor Elvis were live at the studio. Celine sang the song twice, once without Elvis and once with an impersonator. Then they superimposed the real Elvis in. Although I'm not sure how they made it look like the 6 of the finalists were there too.
