I won't go into the details, but I'm looking for a place to buy Gluten-free foods (for people with Celiac disease) in the Merritt Island, FL area. Perhaps a health-food store? (Celiac disease is a condition in which you can't eat foods with wheat, rye or barley. "Glutano" is a name-brand that makes starchy foods for people with the disease, such as pancake mix, etc.) If it'll help you Google it up, the broader Brevard County area includes Merritt Island, Cocoa, Cocoa Beach, Cape Canaveral, Melbourne, Titusville, Palm Bay, Indialantic, Satellite Beach, Indian Harbor Beach, Rockledge, West Melbourne, and Mims.

It would be fantastic if I could get an answer by Wednesday afternoon, because I want to surprise someone with a gift that they can actually eat.

My family owned Warren Wooten Ford and i grew up in Diana shores (those who live there know) until i moved to cocoa beach, nice to see Merritt Island in a post.
I used to get good food from Sun and seed in Cape Canaveral, I also thought i heard about a new health food store near the divine mercy (gold pyramid)......

I can't help you in Merritt Island, but in Tulsa we have a store called Wild Oats that has a lot of gluten-free products. Do you have any health-food stores available? I would imagine any health food store would have most of what you'd need.

Tell you what...

I'm gonna give this one a shot:

Healthy Harvest
209 Crockett Blvd
Merritt Island, FL 32953
321-453-8900

If mapquest serves me correctly, it should be on my way to the post office (coming from Courtenay)

I was just in that area in late October. My friends and I stayed on Melbourne beach at a Radison on A1A. Beautiful area down there. I play to vacation there again.

Did you have fun on all the rocks at low tide? Thats not a real beach friendly place, although that place gets very sick on good swells for waves. I lived down the road on Eau Gallie CSWY for a year. Not to mention that the park next to Radison is a Gay hangout. :D
