I have a Celeron 850Mhz at 1100Mhz with Abit VH-II Mobo (bus speed 133) and PC-133 RAM.
Is it possible to have it run at higher speed, let's say 1.5Ghz? Is it worth?
I use it for graphic and movie editing. Please advice - I know you guys are expert 🙂
Try increasing the bus to 134 and then to say 140 in 1 mhz increments and see what the celery has in it. Beyond that is anyone's guess. May need to slow down RAM timings a bit and increase the core voltage a little if it fails to post. Very good o/c for a celery.
I did it (set to 134) and my comp won't even let me go to CMOS menu. So, I have to take off the CMOS battery to set it back. Is there any motherboard that support Celery overclock 2x?
Try to get the voltage as high as you can by either using the BIOS or doing the VID Pin mod. Also make sure you have good ram. If you have crappy ram try to make it more stable by slowing it down (i.e. CAS2->3, no 4-way interleave, etc.).
