Celeron2 566@850 on Abit SE6, can it get higher?? UPDATE!!!

Can C2 566 get higher than 850?? My SE6 highest voltage is 1.7v.
I have tried to use FSB more than 100 and the window loaded but blue screen comes out right after the windows finished boot. What happen?? Is my hardware pulling the FSB get higher??

It's possible to surpass 1 gig w/ a cele2 provided that you have an extremely good cooling setup and lot's of luck. But the avg oc seem to land around 850. But not every 566 is guaranteed to OC as well as others.

I got a chroms orb that works fine for me. the temp get as low as 22 celcius.
so i think it should be ok if i run higher than 850.
but how could I do it on my SE6??
have any ideas??

You can try the bios reflash trick.Search the archives,there are many posts on this subject.

heng1028: I actually read about that trick on [H]ardocp... You have to short out 3 pins. I tried it on when I was oc'ing my first 566 (she never made it...) and it actually works. I was able to juice it up to 1.85v on CUBX (don't have this anymore either). I don't remeber which pins anymore... sorry...

Btw, how does that Chrome Orb fit? Is it rev 1 or 2? I'm thinking about getting one to use on my cerelyII as well (purely looks, heh).

it just fit perfectly on top of my celery. but you have to becareful of the direction when you install your fan.
there is only one direction that is correct for the chrome orb to fit on top the cpu. i did it wrong the first time and i didn't know.
luckily my cpu did not burn.
you can try. i love it.

Set your voltage to the highest setting on your mobo and reflash the bios.

before i reflash the bios, i set the voltage to 1.7 but the voltage remains the same. what command should i type for the awdflash???

there are bunch of commands like /cc/cd/cp.....

what is needed and what is not??

there are commands that is clear everything and save the new bios.
what should i type in order to change the voltage higher???

ok i have bump my voltage of celeron2 to a maximum of 1.9 volts

i did the hardocp trick of connecting pin of the cpu..

it works and it still couldn't post at 112FSB

I tried to lower to CAS3 and it boots but there is a blue screen said my system halted
is the voltage not enough??? it was set at 1.9 volts

i can only get to 875 at 1.8volts and the temp seems not bad full load at 35 celcius with artic silver


is there anyone know why??
