Celeron vs Celeron-M

Given the same system spec wise, would a Celeron 2.2ghz(400mhz fsb) or a Celeron-M 1.6ghz (533mhz fsb) perform better?
 
Celeron M by a long shot. Much higher IPC, higher cache, higher bus, and the chipsets that Celeron M's sit on are usually newer (read : more features, better performance).

The other ace in Celeron M's pocket is the much improved enery efficiency.

Celeron M 1.6 is about equal to a Celeron 2.6/2.8

keep in mind that Celeron can refer to a lot of different chips
and also Celeron M can refer to a lot of different chips


the latest celerons (4xx series) are Core Solo chips with half the cache and no speedstep
