celeron vs athlon xp 2100

the worst part is they BOTH think the celeron laptop at 2.4 would beat the athlon xp 2100 w/ gforce 4200ti, i mean... i just dont know what to say.

how do i talk about how bad intel made the celeron and how tight they made the athlon? not to mention the 2100 is running on an epox nforce2 with the cpu oc'd to 1.6

should i just let them be and not be a jerk about whats better and whats not? i kinda dont want to put up with the same misinformation when something else is talked about, what to do? UNLESS a 2.4 celeron laptop does beat xp2100 w/gf4 4200ti?
 
a 2100+ whips any celerons ass , where's your buddy gettin this info? also tell em to get any benchmark (3dmark 2001, '03 etc.) and compare it
 
they are mainly stuck into the "its a 2.4ghz celeron, thats 2.4 GIGAhertz dude. he only overclocks his xp to 1.6 so the celeron has to be faster then the xp" type of argument. i didnt want to just show them numbers some program tells them and have that serve as proof, im going to anyway but still... the mhz myth lives thanks to intel, maybe it would have been better for the cpu industry to not get so fast so quick?

tell ur friend he's an idiot. also, ask him y he thinks its faster? and tell him to prove it to you. surely, you should be able to counter ANYTHING he says. lol

Umm the Athlon xp 2100+ native clock speed is 1.73GHz. That processor will still beat the cewewlon and is under clocked. I still have a 2100+ its in my drawer in all the packaging that came with my 3000+.

Thats the test I was thinkin of...you should buy a Duron 1.6, THEN bet him your faster than he is...I get 25% of that action!!!
