Celeron PPGA in an Intel PD440FX

Has anyone here had any success putting a Celeron PPGA into an Intel PD440FX mobo?

I'm attempting to upgrade from the PII 266 to this C500, but am not having any luck.
When I power on, There is some HD activity but not much else.

I've heard rumours that people have had success with this, if you are one of those people,
what did you need to do to get it running?

Intel Portland 440FX....at the very least you need a BIOS update.

The latest BIOS for the PD440FX isVersion 1.00.09.DT0.

Jumper settings are available on this page, but since Celerons are clock locked, you should not need to set anything.

I'm using the latest BIOS version 1.00.09DT0 and was able to figure out the jumpers
but still no luck. I guess either my super slocket III is crap (doesnt have voltage core settings)
or my mobo just cant handle a Celery.
