I was removing an extra NIC card from my BF6 system the other day and after reconnecting the power I got nothing when I tried to turn it on, not even a post screen. I've had a Celeron 600 running happily at 900 for several months now with no problems. It's a 1.7v part and I was feeding it 1.75v to get it to 900. I've tried clearing the CMOS, replacing and removing various cards and reseating the chip and slocket. Nothing seems to help.
I know it's not the slocket because I can replace it with one of my older Celerons and it runs just fine (I'm using an old Celeron 400@540 on the same slocket and board right now.) I also know that it's NOT the Celeron 600 because it's now chugging along at 900 on my MSI 6309 system. Does anybody have any possible explanations on why this chip suddenly won't work on my BF6??
