I'm looking at getting a laptop for my brother to use at college. This friday there's a sale on one with a Celeron M 1.3 GHz processor. It's based on dothan, but is it still a slow chip? should I get somthing better or is this a good laptop?

I am interested in getting a Celeron M too but I am worried about performance. My budget is anything less than 1k. I am leaning towards the Best Buy BF deal.
