Just picked up a brand new BH6 rev 1.01 and a Celermine II 600. Since the board is new and doesn't have the latest BIOS updated with support for the Celermine II, would I be at risk of frying the cpu? Or would the BH6 default to the CIIs 1.5v?

It'll probably work but may show you the wrong cpu info on the startup screen. I'd flash it anyway for stabilities sake. It's a no brainer if you follow the directions. I use a bootdisk made by a Win95 system(don't use a '98 or newer disk). Worse case scenerio is you have to remove your bios chip and install it in another similar computer -while it's running from a bootable floppy- and reflash it.

BH6 1.05 BIOS JJ,dated 1/99 I think, took my c533 at 1.6
Still using the old JJ BIOS with the MSI 6905 ver2
and GOrb. Voltage has always been controlled by MB, MSI
at default. Rock solid at 800, 1.55 volts
Reads PIII 800 at post. Use the MSI adapter
