Celeron II / ABIT BE6 II question

Newegg has the retail Celeron II 1GHZ (100MHz) FCPGA2 at an irresistably low price. I presently run a PIII 1GHZ (133Mhz) on an MSI slotket underclocked down to 112FSB for the benefit of an AGP video card. Does anyone know if the Celeron (Part # BX80530F1000256) will work in the MSI slotket -- 6905 is the number I remember. Thanks

You probably know this, but be careful to get the 1.0 (128K chache) not the 1.0A (256K cache, tulatin). The one you're seeing for $54 & 56 is tulatin. The 1.0 OEM at $60 is OK.

Thanks for the feedback. I will stick with what I have then. The 256K of cache on the PIII probably offsets the speed increase possible with the Celeron 1. Again, I appreciate the advice and help

So, the Tualatin Celeron in the article I linked wasn't FCPGA-2? I thought that was the whole point of the article? 😕
I successfully modified the following: Asus P3B-F motherboard (Rev 1.04 with 1.06 BIOS), MSI 6905 Mater Slocket ver 2.3 (also did it with ver 2), and a Celeron 1.0A.
