Problem drives me nuts....After I installed the nwood 2,2 Celeron in my system two out of my games (FIFA2002 and Max Payne) show exactly the same symptoms-they load normally, let you navigate the menus, settings etc. and seconds before you load a game or start a new one, they throw you instantly to the desktop!!!
I even happened to change my VGA these days (GF2Ti gone for a GF3Ti500) but to no good...
Drivers are the latest dets out there 44.03 and the strangest is that Max Payne did play with the GF2 and not under the GF3!!! Of course I have tried several install / uninstall in the games and between drivers but no result once more.....
Note that other D3D stuff (3D Mark01,03 CMRRally2) and MOHAA,RTCW play just fine....
Can somebody help me plz...??
P.S: Could it be time for a HDD format??:brokenheart: It's been almost around a year since the last one under WinXP and I ve changed CPUs, VGAs, drivers etc...
