I have an opportunity to pick up a celeron 800. My 566@850 has been running well at 1.75v with retail heatsink/fan for over a year now. It could probably make it to 950 with 1.95v and a better heatsink/fan, but I'm more a practical overclocker than in it for the thrill, so it didn't seem worth the $.

I'm just wondering if switching it for this 800 might give me much better overclocking potential and headroom for the future?

Running on a Soyo 6ba+4 bx mobo.

The stepping of Celeron is important. cDo's can often hit 133fsb while cB0/cC0's is a lost cause.

Compuwiz took half of his Celeron 900 cD0's up to 1.2GHz. :)
