Celeron 733 and 766 on Monday

<< Intel might have to cut prices multiple times to get people to buy them... >>

You guys are all smoking crack 😉 You all fail to remember that the Duron is an OEM nightmare due to an lack of low-cost motherboards. While the Duron may bitch slap the Celeron from here to Tibet in peformance, Intel still ownz the market. As the link says, the Celeron ownz 95% of the low-end market. The Duron only stands a chance with us overclockers...otherwise, it's insignificant in the big picture (at least until integrated boards hit the market).

<< P4 = Fart of Death in Chinese
"P"
butt, or fart
(pigu - butt, fangpi - to fart)

"4"
same pronunciation as the word "death"

Hence, P4 = "Pee-sz" = "Fart of Death" or "Fart to Death". In Chinese, people may say "you farted" in response to your telling a lie, so in one sense this is saying Intel has laid a pretty big one.

It's funny because it's true.

A P4 is full of hot air & stinks.🙂

I bought a Celeron 733 a week and a half ago (Googlegear), built a syetem with it for a friend and already sent it out. Haven't seen the 766's yet.

We should see more Duron based solutions in the next few months as more motherboards makes their way to market. Right now the market for Durons are mainly popular with computer enthusiasts but that should change with more of a push from OEMs as NFS4 has said.

If you remember correctly, this is the same strategy AMD did with Athlon that gained them more market share in the high end region. Once support picks up, we will see that 95 percent lead that Electic Tech mentions, deminish.

Time will tell...but the Celeron annoucement that Electic Tech mentions produces no excited reaction from me....
