Celeron 2 on Soyo BA+ ?

Is anyone running this configuration? It will not boot past the CPU detection (it locks up), so I'm going to get my hands on a P2 to update the BIOS, which might, if I'm lucky, allow the computer to use a celeron 2 633 (attached using an MSI 6905). From what I understand, if I set the multiplier on the slotket, it will take precedence over the motherboard's multiplier setting. I guess the only issue is whether or not the motherboard will be able to supply the correct voltage (its a BX board). Anyone have any experience with this or a similar situation?

Thanks.

Yes, I have a Soyo 6BA+IV
It needs to have the voltage set on slotket at 1.75-1.85 then set fsb in bios to 100MHz if that is what you are going for. Leave the other jumpers alone.

Set the Sloket to the default settings for the cpu you are installing. Then use BIOS to adjust/tweak/overclock.

Soyo does not say 6BA+ supports new PIII (cele2). So I got a 6BA+III.
The MB has 2.5% - 10% Vcore adj. but for some reason I have to set the vcore on slotket (MS 6905 also). In my case, the default vcore for my cele 600 is 1.7V (MB reading at 1.72), plus 10% will be 1.87V, but my PC cannot even post at 100Mfsb. Set slotket to 1.9V will do it. Now I am setting slotket at 1.8V, plus bios setting +5%, MB reading at 1.88V, win2K running solid for several days.

I like Soyo board because it has so many fsb settings. The slotket only has 3. Using default vcore, I can even run fsb at 95. Maybe I should not raise that 0.2V only to gain 50MHz.
