There's no comparison because the celery is way too slow.

Maybe if you underclock the P4 2.66 to 1.6ghz it might be as slow as a Celery 2.4ghz. ;)

I upgraded from a P4 1.5ghz to a Celeron 2.0ghz and saw a remarkable improvement in every game I play. If you ask me think these replies are all over exaggerated. For the price I am very happy with it.

That's because the P4 you had before was a crappy Willy, celeron compared to a northwood is no comparison.

No place I know of that tests both of those together, but the most recent test (and the only one that I am aware of) using a 2.4GHz Celeron is Budget CPU Shootout: Clash of the 'rons it does have a 1.8A P4 and a AXP 2600+ to compare with. The AXP 2600+ should be similar in preformance to the 2.66B P4 except in rendering and encoding (the P4 2.66 should do significantly better in these areas).

I know this isn't exactly what you where looking for but it should give you a place to start.

Well then, I will take up this argument. With my 2.0 Celeron, a Geforce Ti4200 64mb, and a gig of ram I play all my games maxed at high res without a hitch. The only one lately that has been a problem is LOMAC but that is the same for people with P4 3ghz if you want to max it. So screw comparisons, the cpu works great for me. Saying that, if what you say is true, the next time I wish to upgrade my CPU I will simply be able to move over to a P4 2ghz which will again be a cheap upgrade by the time I feel the need. No problem. I just shelled out some money for a FX 5900, so it will be a few. From what you say I may have benefited more from buying a cpu. Think so?

Anytime you're a gamer, you get more benefit from a good, fast video card. That said, you don't have half the processor it takes to be able to max out an FX5900, so your next upgrade should be a processor, yes.
