Celeron 2.0 or 2.2 for OCing

Senior member
So I need a machine to do divx encoding on the cheap, and an overclocked northwood Celeron seems like it'd do the trick. 533fsb seems easy to get on these things, so I'm wondering if I should get a 2.0 and hope I can get to 3ghz with 600fsb (4 x 150). Or should I get a 2.2 and just hope to hit 2.9ghz at 533fsb.

A Athlon XP will beat the Celly into the ground...

Def. go with an nForce 2 platform... It's either that, or you go full blown and get the P4, celerons are a waste of time.

Overclock an Athlon XP and divx away i do a 6 pass incode in 3 hours with my 2Ghz Athlon 🙂 .... ..
plus Athlons are cheaper. then celies.
