Celeron 1100A to FSB133 - easy?

So how hard is it to get a Tualatin Celeron 1100 to FSB 133? Is this a no brainer or should I go for a 1200 and be happy. I'd like to keep the PCI and AGP as close to spec as possible on either a TUSL2 or an Iwill BD133u. Any recommendations on either the board or the chip would be appreciated
 
With the 1.2ghz most people are getting to 133fsb with some extra voltage.
The 1.1ghz should get their easier, and with less voltage.

overclockers.com has a cpu database, and you can see how people are doing with certain chips.
 
I disagree with lefthandedgoat here (about most people getting the 1.2 to 133). From the overclockers CPU database, you'll see that it isn't a significant proportion of the chips that get to 1.6. As far as I know, a lot seem to get stuck around 1.56 GHz, and due to PCI speed issues, on a lot of chipsets that means you'll have to reduce the FSB right back down to 120 to get a stable machine. The 1.1A IMO is a much better choice since 1.47 GHz is almost guaranteed with the Tualatin core. Running at 140 MHz FSB will not put any of the buses significantly out, and would give you a clock speed of 1.54 GHz. Plus it's a bit cheaper as well.
 
WOW. Bus issues at 124fsb? damn.. I guess thats on boards that you cant manually change the pci dividers... On my board you can, Im just used to that... Ive run at 124fsb and 1/4pci and it worked fine. I could see problems at 124fsb if your pci divider didnt kick over til like 130ish fsb.

What board are you using?

I'm torn right now because the TUSL2 seems to have issues with what voltage the cpu gets, and I've never owned an Iwill before
 
I'd like to see overclocking results with other motherboards too. What about the TUV4X or others? Apparently there are some issues with the ASUS TUSL2, especially at higher FSB settings like 140 and above.
 
Yup, most people get the C1.2 to ~ 1.5 or so on a 125 FSB. 1.6 @ 133 FSB is pretty rare. You have to use a board that allows 1/4 PCI @ < 133 FSB. The TUSL2 is a great board, but does not have this feature! The ABIT ST6 and Gigabyte GA6OXET are good bets for that setup.

C1.1 @ is a touchy one. It may make it to 133 FSB with plenty of Vcore. For some reason, the C1.0A and C1.1A have a harder time making it to 1.5 GHz than the C1.2. They need more Vcore to get to the same speed. For the C1.1A, I'd still get a board that allows 1/4 PCI @ any bus speed. Say you only make it to 130 FSB, 1.43 GHz. With a 1/3 PCI, you are @ 43.3 MHz....ouch. With a 1/4 PCI, 32.5 MHz....much better.

The C1.0A will surely make 133 FSB, 145 probably. A 1/4 PCI @ < 133 FSB is not a critical feature on one of these.
