Celeron 1.1 works in 2 Intel boards w/o official support

This is just FYI stuff. Thought someone may want to know. Your results may vary.

I have just put a 1.1 Ghz Celeron processor in the D815EEA2 and D815EFV . This is really not a big deal except the processor is not officially supported on either board. Both boards have the latest bios (p15). Both machines function fine during limited testing.

The 1.1GHz Celeron processor is a cD0 stepping Coppermine.

Both of the motherboard models you have quoted are i815E(P) B-stepping chipset based designs. The BIOS already contains CPUID microcode for the cD0 processor, as well as supporting the new Tualatin processor.
