small little problem I THINK I can't seem to get DMA to stay checked on the cdrom or cdrw adn I know it is on the HDD because you can't set it there it's automatic on Raid.

To set the DMA on the abit RAID, I installed the Via IDE Bus controller. Then you can set the DMA setting on. You can download it from the via site. Unless someone has another suggestion.

i thought it had something to do with the hardware having to be able to support it?

Yeah, the hardware has to support it but for some reason after I built my system with the abit, Kenwood 72x, plextor 12/10/32, and pioneer 16x 105s. None of the DMA setting would stay on and all these drives support DMA. So you have to use the via drivers.

Congrats, congrats. The question is whether you've started cracking RC5 along with your fellow gigahertzers.
