Score points w the boss by sending flowers, thank you note, card, lunch, today with your boss!! Boss day is tomorrow, but celebrated today.

National Boss Day was started in 1958 when Patricia Bays Haroski, then an employee at State Farm Insurance Company in Deerfield, Ill., registered the holiday with the Chamber of Commerce of the United States. She designated October 16 as the special day because it was her father's birthday. Ms. Haroski's purpose was to designate a day to show appreciation for her boss and other bosses. She also hoped to improve the relationship between employees and supervisors. She believed young employees often do not realize the challenges bosses face in running a business.

Or to basically suck the boss' dong.

yep, did that already. I really like my boss (she's my aunt) but i still thanked her. Grocery store by my office has 2 dz roses for 13$ so i got her those and a card.

Even if it is a "hallmark" holiday, i still wanted to thank her and let her know how much i appericate her as a person and boss.

with all the crap she goes through with customers, she should have a special day to really celebrate HER!

Most of my bosses are women. I swear sometimes that I work at Inatech...I have like 8 different bosses.

I think bosses should thank their employees for once, not the other way around.
Ironically enough, isn't sweetest day (another hallmark holiday) the 16th this year?

Thank you boss for driving me to drink with your inability to run a department. No really, thank you. Your ineptitude everyday is a great example of what I never want to become. I thank you for being the ass that you are.
