alright folk i have a friend who picked up an asus cuv4x and a celeron2 566.

at 1.65 he can't do 850 under win2k, if he takes the voltage any higher it stops working.

however at 1.65 he can boot into win98 at 850 and run perfectly without any problems.

is there something that win2k does that ocing doesn't work? he's got the sp1 for win2k and the latest drivers for all his hardware, plus the latest bios on his mobo. any clues?

there may be a hardware device that win2k doesn't like... Or, if he switched mb's(say going from bx to via chipset), he'll have to reinstall win2k.

Win2K need more power :)
I have dual boot on my system, I realized I need more voltage with Win2K,always need more 0.05 volt
I believe you need to get better cooling so you can go with higher voltage
