Cedar Point buys Six Flags...

Worlds of Adventure, located in northeastern ohio.

here

basically, Geauga Lake is located 5 minutes from my house. Six Flags bought it, and about 3 years ago, changed the name to Six Flags of Ohio, then they bought the adjacent Sea World, and Named it Worlds of Adventure. The condition of the park has been horrible, six flags didnt care how trashy it got. Hopefully Cedar Point will do better. However, i am wondering WTH is going on. They are supposed to be having Six Flags visit my school to look for employees, but who knows. and i also wonder how quickly they are gunna change some of the entrance, because the entrance has been changed drastically. However, Cedar Point got the good end of the deal. The end of Last summer, Six flags re-routed geauga lake road, around the park. the road used to run between their parking lot and the park. So Cedar Point buys after they pay to move the road.

and its goin back to GEAUGA LAKE YEA BABY. the park itself is like 40 years old.

Isn't cedar point also in Ohio? I'm in Cali and really want to take a trip to Ohio to go to cedar point.
In Ohio theres cedar point, 6 flags, and also a great america?

Wow...talk about a fun weekend. 😉 We used to go to Sea World once a year when my uncle lived near there (we're in MI), and then moved onto CP...now we can do those two plus Six Flags!

Cedar Point is exceptional. I love it. Even though I'm not a fan of the "big drop" coasters like the Magnum or the Millenium force I love the park. And the Mean Streak is magnificent. 🙂 My favourite coaster ever.

I worked at cedar point this past summer. I have been to several other parks in the country and Cedar Fair (owners of CP, and several other parks) run the best parks. I can say first hand that the all of the parks owned by Cedar Fair are exceptional in every aspect.

I am saying this, and i hated working there.

When I was in a travel camp back in the summer before 9th grade, we went on an overnight to Ohio. We went to Cedar Point, and the Six Flags. Cedar Point will always be the most fun amusement park I have ever been to. I thought Millennium Force was an awesome roller coast with the 82 degree or so drop slope (don't remember the exact slope), and the 92 mph velocity at the bottom of the drop. I plan on returning there one day soon to ride the new coaster. This camp trip was around 4 years ago now.

geauga lake is pronounced

G AH GUH

really, its not that large of a theme park, but it has an included sea world for one admission of 40$ i believe. its in northeastern ohio, about an hour and 45 minutes from CP

I used to live an hour from the place, made frequent trips to it. It was always a blast.

Isn't Great America Paramount's? I know there's one in San Jose as well.

I guess I was thinking of Paramounts and not Great America since it is Paramounts Great America thats close to San Jose. I have a hard time believing that Six Flags did such a bad job with worlds of adventure. I went to Magic Mountain and Marine World this past summer which are both six flags parks in California and they were really good.

Crap. Bad news for me. I like buying season passes at 6 flags darien lake (NY) - cheapest 6 flag park, $140 or 150 for a family of 4 for the season. Then, the passes are good at ALL the other 6 flags parks, including Worlds of Adventure. I especially loved x-flight there. Now, I won't be able to get into that park for free 🙁

six flags WoA dropped in attendance the last 2 years. i believe it was the quickest declining attendence in the U.S. prices for food jumped, the rides are mediocre, they havent put up a new one inthe last 3 years, last one was X-flight, and that was 3 or 4 years ago.
