nice
i wonder what motherboard/chipset let them get such a high fsb speed
yeah prescott is pretty weak until it is overclocked
this supprised me tho

that thing could easily take the highest 3dmark scores out there

It could if it was stable enough to run 3dMock at that speed.

edit: Hey, I wonder what kind of SuperPi times they get at 5ghz!:D

Pretty impresive. I wish I could get my 2.8E stable above 3.6 and I am on water cooling.

I wasn't informed that phase change cooling had become ordinary...damn, I just went to water and am still behind... :D

How do you cool the nuclear reactor that powers the CPU with just water?

Hahaha, true, a Prescott on water would get the water so hot I could drop a raw egg in my resevoir and 5 min. later it would be hard boiled!

Ya, I am looking forward to my new water cooling setup to come, hopefully I can get my A64 to 2.4GHZ+

But if I had a Prescott and a water setup I could have a backup resevoir with a T Valve, and make it removable, that way whenever I wanted a cup of tea I could just remove it, pour in the boiling water and be ready to go...it would cut out a step in the morning for me, just go to the computer before my shower and start Prime, by the time I got back the water would be nice and hot...haha

So it was the Asus P4C800 Deluxe?

Yes but how's he going to get enough water to cool it? Nuclear reactors on large lakes raise the temperature of the water quite a bit.

Pretty much confirms one thing. Air cooling has reached its limit. I'm going to guess 4ghz is not attainable even with the LOUDEST air cooling that is available at your friendly hardware vendor. :)
