I just notice this problem today, but this problem doesn't occur all the time. I have a 32x writer, DMA enabled on all drives, WinXP Pro using Nero 5578 (just creating random data CDs 700MB using disc @ once, finalized). I use Prodisc, burns @ 32x, when it gets to the lead out part, it takes about 40s or so to finish. However, the CD is fully readable...
On normal burns, it only takes about 3:53 for 700MB CDs. I notice this problem 2 times today. Do you think it's problem with my burner or software?
