CDs Don't last a lifetime.

I knew they weren't immortal, but the article says that CDs can start dying after 10-20 years even with good care, not 100 years as claimed by manufacturers. Plus there is some little tidbits of info on there that are nice to know.

Yeah CDs are definently not all that they are hyped up to be. Some disks I burned when I got my first burner some years ago now are coming apart. The disc layer is starting to peel and what not. 100 years...sucks to your assmar.
