CDs are playing weirdly...

i have a burned cd that i'm trying to play on my computer. on a normal cd player, it works fine. but in my cd drive, the first few songs play alright, but the later tracks act funny. they won't play immediately, after a few minutes or so it'll start playing so all you hear is the end of songs... the delay varies... sometimes it goes away completely if you lead into it from another song. what's going on? thanks... other cds (same brand cdr) work fine, it seems to just be this one. but it works fine on my normal cd player.

How can the CPU or motherboard possibly affect the CD playback?!
He probably used some low-quality CD, or his CDRW/CDROM drive is messed up, or an error occurred during the burn.
