CDRWin won't recognize my Iomega 12x4x32 as a burner!

I disabled DMA and flashed the Firmware to that Sanyo drive, the only thing that changed was the number; it went from 3.0 to 3.17(or some such number). Is that what is supposed to happen?

In CDRWin it lists my burner as a reader, but not a writer. WTF?

Any help is appreciated! Thanks

I had to download a newer version of the software for my writer, pisses me off too, the software they sent with it new wouldn't work with it.

Download the latest version of CDRWin from GoldenHawk.

When I installed my Plextor 12/10/32 Scsi drive the version of CDRWin I was using, 3.8a, wouldn't recognize my drive as a burner only a reader, but when I upgraded to the latest version, 3.8c(don't know if it's still the latest version), my drive was recognized as a reader and a burner.
