OK, I installed CDRWin 3.8C on a laptop without a burner for the sole purpose of taking images when needed. I know it is possible to take images from a non-burner as I have done so a million times on systems with multiple CDROM drives/burners. I use CDRWin a lot, that is why I would like to be able to take images on this computer.
Heres the problem:
When I open CDRWin, it says: "Unable to initialize the ASPI manager. ASPI manager was not found on system"
Then when I click the "take image" button it says: "No CDROM reading device was found on SCSI or IDE bus!"
:|
Obviously the CDROM isn't a SCSI drive, but why won't it find the drive on the IDE bus?! This really annoys me and I hope I can get it to work. Otherwise I suppose I could try nero or something.
If anyone can help out, I would really appreciate it
. Thanks ahead of time
