cdrw problem

Has anyone had trouble connecting a cdrw into a case? there seems to be places to put the screws in the cdrw to mount it, but when I insert the cdrw the holes are blocked off by the case. I've tried searching the net, looking at manuals (didn't get a manual with the case though). I'm using chieftec and plextor, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Did your Chieftec come with drive rails. Mine has them and you screw them into the side of the drive and then slide it into the case that way you do not have to take both sides off. They are about four inches long and plastic with metal ends.

You guys were right, thanks alot, I spent over an hour figuring out how to get that installed... woulda been nice to get a manual to know what those were for 🙂

Thanks again

You probably won't have any more problems but here is Chieftecs version of support. It has the general features and USB /1394 diagrams.

LOL yeah I was having the same issue the first time I installed a CDR in my PC. I was using macs that have custom enclosures for the drives
