I just got an aopen crw1232 (12x10x32) and it came with nero 5.0.
Installation was easy enough...first had it as a slave on the secondary ide to the master kenwood 42 true-x. On the primary I have the hDD as master and the DVD-rom as the slave. Nero seem to install easy enough.
Try to use a cd-copy on the fly for an audio cd...It found the dvd said it could read data at 32x but only audi at 7x. The Kenwood drive however said that could not extract audio.
So I ripped the songs as wav files to the HDD and burned them on a disk at 12x. Burned successfully. However I wanted to use copy on the fly disk at once. so I unhooked the kenwood made it the primary slave and made the cdrw master on the secondary followed by th dvd which I will do no burning from. I tried it with their goofy kenwood read specs...simulation wouldn't run...I followed their direction and did a auto detect and kenwood can read audio at 11.0x...So I tried again to burn at 10x,8x,6x,4x, no go same error. I tried to burn a image to HDD then the CD-RW same error. I tried to use image recoder and burn image from cd-rw it froze at 18% gave me BSOD saying possible corrupted files read/write error, now I get scandisk wanting a surface scan at bootup...
what's going on here? Hardware or Software? Is nero got the cd-rom or cd-rw specs wrong?
I checked aopen is flashed with latest v1.22 firmware.
error goes like this:
analyses cd (fine)
says it copyrighted (fine)
reads cd (fine) seems to read at over1800 kb/s on kenwood
starts simulation (kicks out blank media)
INVALID FIELD IN PARAMETER
COULD NOT PERFORM START DISK-AT-ONCE
BURN PROCESS FAILED AT (every on listed above) SPEED
Aopen supports disk at once and in the past my kenwood in conjunction with my old (now gone) sony cd-r performed cd copy disk at once just fine.
