If the picture is an accurate representation of the drive, then it is definitely not a Lite-On, as Lite-On does not use the two button design on their CD-RW models unless they have changed them. My Lite-On LTD-166 DVD ROM does use the two button design, however.

AFAIK, KHypermedia doesn't use LiteON as one of their CD-RW suppliers.

Other sites report Cendyne is out of biz, rebates could be rough, Cendyne is bankrupt after getting too much into debt with someplace in Taiwan, that company is liquidating the assets, doubtful if redeeming rebates will be involved....beware?

Funny thing is, a few weeks before I heard they were going out of business, there was an article about them on the front page of the business section in the LA Times. It sounded as if they were doing pretty well.

But I don't know what this would have to do with KHypermedia though.
