CDRW for Dell Inspiron 5000 Laptop??

I'm looking to purchase a CDRW for my Dell Inspiron 5000 Laptop and would like some recommendations. What's the best option for me? I could go with a USB burner but prefer not to because USB burners are slow and unreliable. Is there a drive bay CDRW module for the Inspirion 5000 or will I have to go with a PC card solution? Are there any burners available that I can connect to both my laptop and my desktop? Something like the KanguruCD-RW would be ideal. Perhaps I should just invest in a Firewire or SCSI PC card and buy an appropriate drive? Any help/recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

I have a Dell 5000 Laotio too, and according to dell's gigabuys there is no internal cd-r drive for the 5000 series.... yet. i agree that usb would stink as far as being very slow. I would base my decision on scsi vs. firewire on if i was planning on getting anything else that would need either one of those ports. if it really doesn't matter, go firewire. 2 reasons why:

1. newer and faster. more new things are being introduced with this port. plus if you ever gor a digitalcam it is so nice doing editing from this

2. depending on which scsi connection your pcmcia card is you are limited to that type (as there are several types of scsi connections)

Good luck in your search, i hope this helps
