CDRW as a floppy replacement (for self-booting diagnostic programs, etc.)

There are a boatload of tools that I'd like to run; memtest86, Drive Fitness Test thing from Hitachi, and some others. They all have their own little "boot disk" rawwrite floppy utilities thing to make a floppy disk for you. Is there a way to make a "virtual" floppy drive, then copy everything over to a CDRW, or something along those lines?
