cdrom disappeared from windows explorer

cdrw dvd combo drive has disappeared from windows explorer , but it is in device manager with a yellow mark by it.

Tryed uninstalling and rebooting same problem.

This happened after a installing a new video card. Tried switching back to onboard video no luck.

Any one have any idea how to fix this?

I had a similar issue when I added a DVD-RW drive into a customers system. It showed it in explorer but only as a regular CD-ROM, and had a yellow exclamation mark in device manager. I found an article in the MS knowledge base which said if you delete these few entries from your registry and reboot that it might be a fix. Sure enough, it worked for me. I had a post in here somewhere with the link...I'll try and find it for you...

Thanks for the followup Nathan. I have seen this before but did not know about the registry edits to fix.
