CDR/RW recovery disk with Windows XP?

Is this possible? Can you make a recovery disk using a CDR or CDRW? My current computer doesn't have a floppydisk, and I really don't want to dig one out of a box everytime I wish to create a recovery disk. Any ideas? I can't seem to find any information on this in the forums or on the Web.
