CDR Drive Problems...please help!

well the basic gist of my problem is that my Lite-On CDR drive closes automatically by itself and i only have like a few seconds to put in a cd before it attempts to eat my hand...anyone out there help me fix this?

Does this occur after burning a cd?? If so, it is usually an option within the cd burning software.

no it happens EVERYTIME i open the cd-drive...a few seconds after it ejects it closes

It maybe a faulty drive..I had a VCR that did this...eject a tape and before you could get it out..sucked it right back in....
