I know that beam type torque wrenches basically don't need calibration, or if they do, you just bend it until it says zero when there is no load on it, but clicky torque wrenches do in fact need calibration and sometimes need it often. I was looking for beam torque wrenches from reputable brands and was having difficulty, mostly in the 0-600 in-lb torque range. I was wondering if CDI dial torque wrenches which doesn't say anything about being "clicky" need calibration and if so, how would the calibration be done? They APPEAR to be beam type torque wrenches but use a slightly different mechanism for calculating the bend in the beam but I was hoping someone here could confirm whether or not it's a beam torque wrench that doesn't need much of any sort of calibration.

Can anyone recommend a torque wrench in the 0-600 in-lb range that would need little if any calibration?
