did you try putting the CD into a CD player? because thats what you're supposed to get
 
ElFenix is correct - a music CD is by definition made up of .cda files. It you want to creat music on a CDR using a computer format such as .wma or .mp3, use the data burning options.
 
Thank you for your answer. Sorry to take so long to get back to you but I've been busy up here with frozen pipies and shoveling snow so the computer had to take a back seat for a while. Yes, as soon as I put the cd in my car it played perfectly. The problem seems to be with my Plextor burner (again). It will not play back the cd's that it burns but they do play fine in the car or thru my computer's dvd drive. This is my third bad Plextor cd-rw in less than a year. Again, thank you for your help.
