Someone sent me .cda files (well, if my understanding is correct they are not exactly files but that's how outlook reads them) and ask to convert them to .mp3 or other portable format. Can it be done? I have no clue how to deal with this.

If someone can point me to a direction I'd greatly appreciate it.

.CDA files are just small "informational pointers" that tell Windows Media Player how to locate and play the actual raw audio data on a CD. In order to create a portable audio file such as an MP3, you need to have the original CD or an ISO image of the CD that contains the actual audio track information.

That's how I understood but the outlook says each file is like 150 MB+. Is it simply reading the information of non-existing files?
