CD writers in win2000

i remember reading that cd burners werent compatible in win2k. is this true? i really hope i can get an answer because i planned on installing win2k pro on a computer in my house that has a cd-writer. thanks! -dave

Of course not.

There is an issue with Roxio/Adaptec's burning software in Win2K...

That issue was with version 4 of Adaptec's software. There are patches to correct this. Make sure to follow the instructions otherwise you'll make a real mess of things.

FWIW Adaptec spun off Roxio and CD Creator version 5 is now handled by them.
