CD volume label too long?

I was burning some files on to a CD, and usually for the volume label I keep it short and descriptive, but this time I wrote out the entire name there. Nero (v5.5) lets me write quite a bit, and so I thought nothing of it, but for some reason when I try and use those disks, that explorer window will freeze up upon reading. It was done in the same batch as a few others, and thats the only reason I can think of...is there any way I can get the data off the discs??

If you can't get it to read in Explorer, see if a command prompt will let you read them. If not that, then maybe copy the files from disk to disk in Nero? Or perhaps make an image of the disc and extract the files from it.
