cd that contains both mac/windows files? How to make one?

I have this cd here that when I put it into a Mac I see certain files x, y, z for example. If I put the same CD into a PC I see files a, b, c. How is this accomplished and how can I create one myself?

Here's a theory that probably will not work, but I will state it anyway...

Hide the mac files under windows
Make the windows file dot files

This way each OS only sees the right ones.

hrm... I finally looked into it and the link doesn't provide a way to hide mac files under windows. any ideas? or am I missing something?

Windows doesn't read mac partitions.
