I was at Sam's Club today and they had some CD Stomper DVD/CD Labels (don't seem to be on the samsclub.com website) in a refill kit at 300 labels for $19.67. Has anyone used these labels before? I only have experience with Neato labels which I've never had a problem with but don't know anything about these.

I did stumble across the CD Stomper website which looks like they have a 100pk for $25 and a 300pk for like $65 so I don't know why Sam's would have a 300 pack for $20 unless it was mislabelled or something. But a good deal on crpa is still crap so I thought I'd ask here first.

Thanks.

I get the CD labels from this site I got off eBay. It's so much cheaper than how much Neato charges. You just need to get the right labels for the software you're using and use the Stomper to put the labels on. :)

I use it. It's just what you expect, you print on a stickable label that's precut and use the Stomper to place it exactly in the centre. It comes with floppy labels too!

I bought mine at Costco, much cheaper than Staples. We don't have Sams Club in Canada though...

I quit printing labels and got one of these instead:

I did use the CD labels for a while though, and they worked pretty well, some discs had air bubbles though. Fortunately I don't have to worry about that any more... :)

Are there special brands of inkjet printable CD-Rs that are needed to work with that Epson printer?

The CDRs or DVDs have to be "inkjet printable" in order to work, but you can get them here:

Supermediastore or here:

AllMediaOutlet

Lots of other places have them too, I picked up a spindle of printable Memorex CDRs at Frys...

I'm not too worries about the actual Stomper device, was mainly just wondering about the actual labels themselves...

Thanks for the info. I might jsut go pick some up. Just in case work catches on that I'm "borrowing" some from them every couple days.

I use them all the time. That is a great price! I don't know why the web site would sell them that high. I get them from here , I have a $5 off coupon that seems to always work. PM me if you want it. You could probably google for it too.

I buy them at Sam's also. They don't have them all the time so I recently bought an extra 300 just to be sure I don't run out.

Are they the matte or glossy finish? I prefer glossy, but Neato labels are $30 for 20 labels.

I got a pack of those labels and had pretty good luck. I used CD Stomper to apply the labels too.

HOWEVER, I ran into some problems where my DVDR movies would start pixellating or skipping or otherwise misplaying. I pulled the disc out and checked out the surface and it was perfect. For kicks, I removed the label while the disc was still warm and it came off easily. Just like that, the previous parts with problems played perfectly.

This didn't happen to me frequently but it was annoying enough to stop me from applying labels to movies when I burn them now.

P.S. - If you ever need to remove a label, heat the disc up with a hair dryer for a few minutes and it comes off flawlessly and without any effort. Try that with a cold disc and you're in huge trouble.
