I never had this problem before, but today when I started to burn CDs again, every time I was finished burning a CD my CD-RW drive would refuse to open. I had to completely reboot my computer for my CD-RW to open again, or open it manually. ANybody have this problem?? Windows does not recognize the burned disk, will not eject the drive. (the burn is fine though)

I have a acer CRW6206a, 6x2x2. (yea i know it's a sux drive) I'm using Adaptec easy cd.

I'm using CD copier, and it doesn't ahve an eject function, and windows won't eject it either. Another thing i just noticed--the green light on the CDRW won't turn on after it's finished burning. It goes back on when i force open the CD.

the thing is, this NEVER happened before, so I know it's not the CD software (whether it be adaptec or nero).....i don't know if it's because i maybe damaged it somehow when I was moving, or some other driver or program is interfering...

Paulson, don't rack up worthless posts !
Trust me, you are not helping this guy.

tc61380, I think Adaptec has an option that says ' Eject CD when finished'.
